We have funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, to provide free wellbeing support during covid through our 8-week mindfulness practice course online.

Free enrolment is available to help manage the stress and anxiety of life affected by the current climate and measures in place, and to support the wellbeing of those in key roles helping others during the pandemic.

Course content is delivered on your preferred device, online or via the app accessing our community hub. Each week contains guided exercises, audios, videos and helpful hints, as well as some useful reading and take away learning points.

This course will help develop your understanding and experience of mindfulness, and how it can benefit you – regardless if you have previous experience or not!

Course participants will receive free access to the course content online via our community hub, with the option of feedback and monitoring from an accredited facilitator.

We are staggering course start dates across the first half of 2021, to allow suitable dates for all to enrol. Via the community hub participants will have space to interact, chat and ask questions of other course members – as well as being able to access further resources and support there.

We have adapted the course from the 8-week standard course material in our previous community projects, and organised the content so it’s easy to follow online and take in regardless of our learning styles and needs; and our previous understanding and experience.

From anonymous monitoring of our previous mindful community projects and programmes, 96% of participants’ scores for indicators of anxiety, stress or depression were lower after taking part.

There are continued efforts to research more thoroughly into the benefits and effects of mindfulness, that has included lowered blood pressure and improved sleep as well as improvements in mental health and wellbeing.
